GIS (Geographic Information System)/GPS (Global Positioning System) Mapping of Waqf Properties in The State of Uttar Pradesh

The main objective of the project is to digitally map all the properties that fall under Sunni Waqf Board of UP including Mosque, shops, houses, agricultural land etc. GIS/GPS mapping of such properties are done in field to gather all information on a Digital Platform. The project intends to track the growth of properties over the past 40-50 years, identify encroached properties and provide valuable insights into the changing landscape and potential trends for the Sunni Waqf. By having a comprehensive and accurate record of properties, the Sunni Waqf Board can identify any underutilized or unutilized assets that could be developed or monetized to generate additional income. This increased revenue can benefit both the board and the government. Similar successful initiatives have been undertaken in Punjab, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh.
